New Life Centre for Girls in Midrand, Johannesburg is struggling to get back on its feet and is under pressure to provide for its beneficiaries due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The non-profit organisation, which accommodates over 20 girls aged between 0 to 18 years who are orphans or have been abused and exposed to prostitution and drugs, needs financial assistance to take care of its beneficiaries.

The New Life Centre for Girls does not receive any funding from the government and it has relied on support and donations from individuals and corporate companies to stay afloat. One of the corporate companies that recently showed support to the centre is Bonema Technologies which donated basic necessities such as food, toiletries and household items.

“We have been facing difficult times as many people are not able to visit the centre to make donations and to pledge other support due to the lockdown. There are days when we don’t know what to give the children but today, Bonema Technologies gave us hope and strength to hold on. We really appreciate the support and donation of food, toiletries and household items,” Khopotso Nakin, founder of New Life Centre for Girls said.
