Eskom will be implementing stage 2 load shedding from 10am on Wednesday (9 June 2021) morning until Sunday night.

They have apologised for the inconvenience and uncertainty caused by the power cuts and asked South Africans to cut down consumption of electricity.

It is however, not only affecting households but businesses too. People are worried about their jobs and businesses. First it was COVID19, now it is Load shedding. Some businesses survived the COVID-19 pandemic but will they now survive losses caused by load shedding? An apology is not enough, something needs to be done.

Most cannot afford generators which might result in them losing customers to bigger businesses who can afford to have generators.

South Africa might see an increase in unemployment in the next months due to power cuts.
