Youth Skills Programme: Remote Pilot License/ Drone

This Youth Month, NGOConnectSA is excited to announce an opportunity for young individuals aged 18 to 35 to participate in our sponsored Remote Pilot License (RPL) training program. This initiative is designed to empower youth with the skills and certification needed to excel in the growing field of drone technology.

About the Program:

Our youth skills development program will cover all aspects of drone operation, including theoretical knowledge, practical flying skills, and regulatory compliance. Successful participants will obtain their Remote Pilot License, opening doors to numerous career opportunities in various sectors and business opportunities for those operating small businesses.


Eligibility Criteria:

  • Age: 18 to 35 years old
  • Based in Gauteng
  • Must be unemployed or self-employed
  • Available to complete the training over the next 2 months
  • Willing and able to travel to Sandton
  • Passion for technology and aviation
  • Commitment to completing the training program
  • Ability to learn and apply new skills


Added Advantages (not a requirement):

  • Possession of a pilot license or aviation background
  • Youth leading SMMEs in the drone industry
