We offer a range of health services, currently focused on sexual and reproductive health, via a variety of convenient channels, primarily mobile vans. We also aim to connect youth via referrals and linkages to a range of other health and wellbeing services, including behavioural and livelihoods programs that are offered through partners. Custom technology enables SHOUT-IT-NOW to effectively use real-time data to generate insights and inform our program design—our youth engagement, communications, and service delivery strategies—and to give youth easy access to programs offered by our ecosystem partners. Importantly, we take a client-centred peer-lead approach, involving youth in all aspects of our work.

We seeks to appoint a Technical Specialist: Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), to join their team based in the Centurion. 

Technical Specialist: Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR):

The purpose of this position is to provide technical leadership and strategic direction to ensure technical integrity in Shout’s current and proposed programs and initiatives.  This role involves designing, implementing, and evaluating evidence-based interventions that promote sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), prevent HIV, and address gender-based violence and implementation.

The Technical Specialist in Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and evaluating our SRHR programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SRHR, excellent project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders. This position requires expertise in technical guidance, capacity building, and advocacy to ensure the successful delivery of our SRHR initiatives



  • Provide technical leadership and strategic direction in the design, implementation, and evaluation of SRHR programs.
  • Lead the development and implementation of evidence-based strategies, interventions, and tools in line with Funder’s technical guidelines.
  • Develop and oversee work plans, and budgets to ensure effective and efficient program delivery aligned to organisational goals and donor requirements
  • Ensure that programs are culturally sensitive, youth-friendly, and inclusive.
  • Provide technical training and capacity-building activities for staff, partners, and stakeholders on SRHR topics.
  • Monitor and evaluate program activities to assess impact, identify challenges, and implement improvements.
  • Collaborate with SIEL to develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess the effectiveness of SRHR, HIV, and GBV programs, and document best practices and support the dissemination of these to all stakeholders.
  • Identifies opportunities and platforms to showcase Shout’s services and presents evidence to support the company’s impact on youth health and well-being, thus positioning Shout as a leading technical expert in the sector.
  • Produce quality SRHR technical reports and insights to be shared with various stakeholders
  • Stay abreast of the latest technical advancement and trends ensuring that the organization remains at the forefront of the industry
  • Manages departmental programmatic expenses, ensuring compliance to internal and funders budgetary controls.
  • Drive innovation within the company by identifying and promoting sound technical strategies for programmatic Implementation
  • Leads and manages the relevant technical team to motivate and engage them, to achieve maximum productivity and the achievement of organizational goals



  • Master’s degree in Public Health, Social Sciences/Worker or Gender Studies or related degree.
  • 10+ years in public health programme leadership and implementation, with at least 8 years’ experience in HIV prevention, gender-based violence (GBV) and/or sexual reproductive health and rights (SRHR) in youth
  • Proven track record of designing, implementing, and evaluating health programs in low resource settings.
  • Experience in capacity building and training of staff and partners or AYP (adolescents and young people)
  • Proven track record of providing SRHR technical expertise to AYP programs, including a understanding of Social Behavioural Change approaches and related activities
  • Specialised knowledge and experience in Health Systems Strengthening and integrated SHRH/GBV/HIV in AYP, particularly AGYW (Adolescent Girls and Young Women
